In this Dark Comedy, you will feel incredibly uncomfortable for the first half of this film. The premise of this film is Lance Clayton (Robin Williams), a single father and his struggles with his son Kyle (Daryl Sabara). While this is not the main plot, this is what the movie is truly about. While normally I will never really give away any plots or spoilers but as soon as you start the film you will find yourself watching Lance catch his son Kyle depriving himself of oxygen while conducting business with himself. This immediately puts the viewer in an awkward state. You will find that Kyle is very similar to J.D. Salinger’s character Holden Caulfield in the 1951 novel The Catcher in the Rye.
